DETENTION OFFICERS

Thomas N. Frederick Juvenile Justice Center is seeking full time detention officers.  Responsibilities include supervision and security for juveniles of the detention facility.  Schedule includes weekends and some holidays.  BS Degree in Criminal Justice or Social Services preferred, HS diploma required.  Salary is $27,253.00 with degree and $26, 332.00 without degree, plus bonus incentives and overtime with full benefit package. 

 

COMMUNITY CASE PLANNING PROBATION OFFICER

Position is responsible for case planning of juveniles' pre-dispositional reports, conducting pre-sentence investigations with defendants on new offenses, making pertinent recommendations to the court that are in the best interest of the clients' rehabilitation, guiding clients through completion of the dispositional process, processing crucial information accurately, and holding juveniles/families accountable.  Must be well organized, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work in a team setting.  Baccalaureate degree from an accredited College required; Masters degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or related field preferred.  Salary for this position is based on the Indiana State Probation Officer scale, starting at $29,268.00 annually with full benefit package.  Candidate must obtain probation officer certification within six months of employment. 

 

FAMILY CASE MANAGER

The St. Joseph Probate Court seeks a Family Case Manager for its Day Reporting Program.  Position is responsible for implementing an effective social services treatment program for families and children served by the court to ensure successful completion of the program.  Bachelors degree in the social sciences required coupled with a minimum of one year experience working with juveniles and families.  Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have a working knowledge of community resources.  Annual salary range up to $31,103.00 commensurate with qualifications and experience with full benefit package. 

 

PROGRAM SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Responsible for keeping records, financial information, student and family information and other responsibilities normally associated with office management.  Coordinates activities with students and parents in the Day Reporting Program.  Bachelors degree in the social sciences required coupled with two years office management experience and working with at risk youth.  This is a grant funded position with an annual salary up to $25,084.00 per year dependent upon qualifications and experience.
